![]() Attack the Mouth: SpongeBob was the first character to die in the story, he was killed when the original Patrick first stabbed him through the mouth with his stomach and then digested him alive. She helps him fight The Tortured One as his mech and, when a piece of The Tortured One is about to regrow into another monster, she sacrifices herself, happy to be reunited with Plankton, saying, "See you soon, my love." Karen is a redeemed villain, being very caring, genuinely loving Plankton and supporting him in all of his goals, even if she disagrees sometimes. When Bikini Bottom is at peace again, he swears to himself to stop future threats from attacking the town. While he's still sarcastic, he usually doesn't intend to insult anyone except for the destructive Patrick. He saves Sandy from being torn apart by the Patrick clones, tells her to leave Bikini Bottom for her own safety, and blows a bubble with his clarinet to save her when her helmet leaks due to not wanting to lose another friend. Squidward here feels genuine remorse for being harsh, especially with his last words, to SpongeBob, and he even drops his arrogance after a Patrick clone points out that he's boring, making the former admit his skills.A flashback shows a Patrick regenerating from a single limb, but he's really tiny compared to the limb - which implies that the regeneration used to be much slower due to the lack of growth hormones then but still much faster than in real life. Artistic License Biology: Obviously, a lot of what was in the original show carries over here, but one new deviation is that Patricks can regenerate in a matter of seconds, while real sea stars may take years to reach their full size again.Art Evolution: The comic starts off drawn in the original SpongeBob SquarePants style (with some horror aspects) on paper, but it gradually shifts into Austin's own style drawn via computer as the series goes on. ![]()
